Vivitar Name Sold They Won't Repair This Product

 

I sent this product out on July 15th, they sold thier name on Aug 22nd. It was supposed to be back to me within 14 days, they kept it for 5 weeks, then said the name was sold, and they never even opened my package I sent to them.

Was a good camera for 2 weeks

This camera stopped being able to be recharged after only 2 weeks of ownership. I sent this camera to vivitar for repair and recieved a letter back from them 1 1/2 months after sending it to them along with my still broken camera.

Great for the price

 

The sound is very low, but it is there. I installed the XVID codec and then used VirtualDub(opensource) to amplify the sound by 20 decibels. Then I re-encoded the video with the XVID MPEG-4 video compression and the Mpeg layer 3 (MP3) audio...

Good quality video, small form factor. File sizes are very reasonable.

Night mode lags the display badly. Have not tried recording in this mode. The volume in the videos is extremely low. Flash is sketchy.

Not bad for the price.

 

Wish it would be better in low light situations.

For the price I'm not complaining. Decent video quality. It lacks a little in low light situations, but if you'll be using it in the day, its perfect. Files are .avi, so easy to get vids on the net. I'm going to be using it to take to the drag racing...

Sucks in low light situations. Not cheaper.
