Okay it's not a top of the line camera and it would rate about 4 stars next to a higher end model, BUT at this price point it is an excellent buy for a 3CCD camera with a decent amount of bells & whistles. It does need good lighting so I would invest...

First, the negatives. The first impression was the spring loaded clip that secures the eyepiece to the view screen disintegrating upon touching it. Ugh. Gravity now keeps the eyepiece in place. We'll find a way to juryrig a fix of some kind. One...

About to put it through it paces

 

I will be using this camcorder for live music events, some weddings and mayube even promotional type stuff for bands and interviews of band members. I got this product for the sole purpose of wanting a pro style camcorder to show off to my clients....
