Bought my 60V500A after months of research, in March of 04, the electronics store I ordered it from could not get it for months, went to the big "chain" store and had it within a week, at a better price. Thus far has performed flawlessly, no repairs,...

Picture quality is superb, Discovery HD has the BEST resolution I've ever seen.

Still going strong after 4 years!

Very clear picture, the design is aging well.

Grayish tint can be seen on large black images (i.e. bars on a 16:9 format).

None and this is my second Hitachi LCD. Well like all TVs stand is extra.

Hitachi 60v500a 60" LCD Rear Projection TV

 

Brilliant colors, thin size, ease of connectivity, plenty of I/O jacks, Awesome clarity!

Black colors are often too dark.Matching stand's glass shelves bow.Cooling fan is annoying.

The Perfect "Event" Television

 

For DVDs and HD programming, one can hardly buy a better set. When I first set foot in HH Gregg looking for a projection TV, my thought was who in their right mind would pay $3900 for a television ... until I saw the Hitachi. Exceptionally clear ...

Absolutely everything. Doesn't require a base.

Costs a chunk o' change, but worth it.
