This is a great idea for a speaker! I have mine on my back porch by the pool and don't have to worry about it getting water on it!

This is a nice speaker to have, style wise, I have this in my back yard for entertaining my friends when we have get togethers, but the bad thing is that the speakers are not loud enough, and they also need more outputs. SO no I would not recommend this.
