Easy setup, excellent bang for the buck. Complete, detailed documentation. Free web site.

Slight amount of 'Engrish' in docs. Otherwise, none, given other current market offerings.

Panasonic set out to make a low cost camera capable of competing in the security camera market with Axis and other network camera vendors. Unfortunately they came up with a product that doesn't really have a market. The KX-HCM10 is too costly for a...

Pan and Tilt, basic setup is simple, low price compared to Axis 2100 series.

Time/motion triggers do not work, 10 Mbit/s only connection, poor tech support, no returns.

Interesting, but unreliable

 

I tested this Panasonic camera, and although it is very easy to install and use, it proved to be a bit dissapointing. It occasionally hangs, requiring a restart, and the image quality is fuzzy at best, especially at low light conditions. In a year,...

Fun but Unreliable

 

Easier setup than Axis 2100. Fun tilt & pan.

Networking not reliable enough for security cam use. Pics occasionally just stop coming.

Fun but Unreliable

 

We've been working with two of these cams for two months, trying to use them for indoor security. The initial setup was as easy as I've seen. Axis 2100's were much more difficult to get started with.

Easier setup than Axis 2100. Fun tilt & pan.

Networking not reliable enough for security cam use. Pics occasionally just stop coming.

Feature rich but poor picture

 

Having previously owned other network cameras I was excited to find the new Panasonic KX-HCM10 was not available and had a very handy pan and scan feature so I when I needed another camera I gave this one a try.

Easy to set up, handy pan & scan feature, excellent compatibility
