Foscam R2 Wireless 1080P IP Camera review: Strong on security, but definitely not DIY
A tedious setup process nearly tanks this otherwise excellent Wi-Fi camera.
Excellent HD video quality ; Mobile and web apps are easy to use ; Remote pan and tilt gives much more viewing flexibility
Setup process is too long and complex ; Not enough documentation ; Cloud storage is set up outside the app
There’s plenty to like about the RP, but it’s hampered by an unnecessarily complex setup.

The Foscam R2 offers serious surveillance with intuitive, easy-to-use apps. It may lack buzz features like facial recognition and personalized security settings, but I’ll take the pan-and-tilt feature and accurate alerts over those often-buggy options...

Prijs-kwaliteit verhouding is prima
Makkelijk te installeren. ; Video- en audioalarm apart (in tijd) te programmeren. ; Grafische kwaliteit
Na firmware update moeten ingestelde bewakingsinstellingen (video en audio)! opnieuw worden ingesteld.

“Ok voor een netwerk binnehuis”
De foscam werkt wel, maar je kan niet verbinden met 4G en met een extern WI-FI netwerk. Best plug en play software bijleveren. Nochtans is alles op Telenet port forwarding gezet en de poorten op de foscam ingesteld ook firewall uitgeschakeld.

“Goed produkt zeker voor zijn prijs”
Grote draaihoek en kantelhoek zodat je een zeer groot bereik hebt om te kijken
Makkelijk te configureren, maar ben dan ook goed op de hoogte van netwerkconfiguraties ; Grote draaihoek 300 graden
Beeld soms wel wat wazig ondanks ethernet aansluiting
