Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 8350

The Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 8350 ($1,299 direct) isn't the least expensive home theater projector you can find, but it's Epson's lowest-cost 1080p model and certainly priced low enough to count as affordable. It also offers some useful features...

Inexpensive. Vertical and horizontal lens shift. No rainbow effect. Two HDMI connectors

Lacks the 3D support found in many current DLP projectors

Although it lacks the dark blacks of more expensive projectors, the Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 8350 offers more than acceptable image quality at a budget price.

Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 8350 LCD Projector

I've always liked Epson projectors—they generally produce an excellent picture for a reasonable price, which makes them a great value. The PowerLite Home Cinema 8350 is no exception, though it's not quite the home run that Epson's UB (ultra-black)...

Epson Pro Cinema 9350 vs. Home Cinema 8350

This article discusses the Pro Cinema 9350's differences

Really very good "out of the box" picture quality ; Really good color accuracy post calibration (best mode) ; Very good black levels for a projector in its price range, though not quite "ultra high contrast" calibre ; Image has good sharpness ;...

Black levels, while respectable, are not a match for many more expensive projectors some of which are far better in this regard (the "ultra-high contrast projectors) ; It is a few hundred more expensive than the most "entry level" projectors ; Although...

The Epson may not proved to be the best under $1300 home theater projector for your exact situation, but, all considered, there is a good chance it is

Best value 1080p projector

The Epson Home Cinema 8350 is earning raves for its performance and value. Picture quality is top shelf. Colors are excellent, and blacks are capable of being great, though some user intervention might be needed to the out-of the-box settings to get...

Excellent picture quality, good value, easy set up, usable high-brightness mode, long warranty

Some user tinkering might be needed for best picture quality, brightness drops at long end of zoom-lens range, black levels not as deep as high-end projectors

Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 8350 Review

Undoubtedly one of the finest low-price projectors we've ever seen. An extraordinary picture for $1,299.....Editor's Choice Award.....

Love it!!

The hardest part of the entire installation was the cheapo mount that I bought. Aligning the projector and configuring the color settings took 10min tops. And this was my first projector. Overall I'm happy with it.

Image quality. Setup was a breeze. Fairly quiet ; I have this thing paired with a Navi 100" screen and looks amazing. Playing N64 Mario Kart on this thing is crazy!! Same goes for Black Ops 2 on PC

Excellent choice

After googleling for weeks on which projector to buy, I decided to buy the Epson 8350. I bought the canvas for projector (1.8 gain grey) and built a 130''screen. Since this being my first projector, I was concerned about a true HD compared with a TV....
