I purchased this as a present, so am unable to comment on efficiency. However, it looks lovely, modern. The person I bought it for us really pleased with it

Replaced my 10 year old toaster, much needed, I can now have toast thats cooked, not pale or burnt. The only down side its not too good for warburtons bread had to slice a bit off to put in toaster, On the whole a lovely toaster, colour good, works great.
