The HP Color LaserJet Enterprise M553x is fast, with features galore, a high paper capacity, and very good output quality. But some businesses might not want to pay the high price for more features than they need.

Fast. Above-average output quality across the board. Excellent graphics. 1,200-sheet standard paper capacity. Wireless Direct and NFC connectivity. PCL and PostScript drivers.

Pricey. Lacks 802.11 Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

Conclusion With a wider range of features, better speed, and slightly better print quality than the Editors' Choice HP M551dn, the HP Color LaserJet Enterprise M553x is an excellent printer, but it sells for a substantially higher price. The M551dn,...

An innovative colour laser that's big on features and ideally suited to SMBs that need high-volume printing

Great cloud printing functionality; Excellent image quality

Inability to use cheaper alternative cartridges

This classy, feature-rich printer is fast and cheap to run, and won’t be beaten for its extensive print-management tools.

I used the literature and CD that came with the product and the printer was up and running in a matter of minutes. The iphone and ipad print to it wirelessly and the office computers print though the network connection. It is fast even when printing...
