A good, general-purpose A3 inkjet printer with good colour print costs and purposeful speed.

Driver and supporting applet installation is straightforward and there's support for both Windows and OS X, though there's no indication of any for Linux.

Epson A3 Printer B1100

 

I see only a few A3 printers mainly because of size but after the recent offering from Brother this Epson unit was offered, it is bigger (wider) than the Brother and is only a printer and not an All In One but it can print A3+.

The only things I printed in ‘best’ mode were images and while it is tempting to print lots of A3 and A3+ images remember ink is not cheap and a full borderless image will use a lot. This is also not by any means a fast job

Good colour output, One of the better wide-output printers

Lacks built-in networking, Better for pictures than text

Able to print not just to A3 but also larger A3+ (329x483mm) paper, the Epson Stylus Office B1100 is a versatile colour inkjet printer. And, at just under £200, it's reasonably priced for a large format printer.

Would not connect through my USB hub. Seems to be using a lot of ink.

I absolutely love the quality and quietness of this printer. I make cards and gifts and its photo quality is superb. I also do things for church so the A£ poster size is brilliant. I am now saving for an Epson all in one printer to replace my lexmark...

Epson Stylus Office B1100

 

I use this printer for printing my photographs on A3 paper and the quality is fantastic. The printer is so easy to use, with simple maintainance options that guarantee fantastic results every time.

As yet the only bad point I've found is the availability of the inks.
