Excellent quality prints and speed in both colour and monochrome; two start buttons for the copier, one to copy in black and white, the other in colour

It doesn't have an LCD interface, OCR results were sub par

At its price point we feel an LCD interface should have been a given. However, the Brother MFC-9440CN is a robust and durable machine that delivers quality output at good speeds.

Fast. Scans to and faxes from PC over network. Standalone copier and fax.

Setup for scanning from the front panel requires manual steps.

Ok Printer works. when you say print it prints

This printer company and their printers are ridiculous. you are changing cartridge also you have to change drum unit,fuse unit and belt unit, you have to change laser unit, pf kit mp and pf kit 1. so you keep changing the parts of the unit. guess what...
