The Energy Take Classic 5.1 is a beautifully designed speaker set and a solid choice for home theater systems in small- to medium-size living rooms.
Stellar sound quality for the price. Surprisingly seamless transition between subwoofer and satellites. Beautiful black gloss finish.
Subwoofer is very sensitive to placement, though that's true of most similarly designed systems.
Performance and Conclusions Fortunately, the Energy Take Classic 5.1 system avoids the above pitfalls. It delivers stellar performance, especially considering its reduced $400 price. In my tests, the satellites sounded clear and transparent, with a...

The Energy Take Classic 5.1 offers outstanding sound quality for a compact surround-sound speaker system. All of the speakers feature a beautiful piano-black finish, looking more expensive than the system's budget price. Altogether, the system is one...
Pioneer's SP-PK21BS sounds better for the same price, although it's a much larger system.

Energy's Take Classic series is a throwback to their tried-and-true Energy Take system which all but dominated the home theater speaker market years ago. Far from being a trendy system, the Energy Take system was a robust, almost overbuilt speaker set...
Unbelievable value and performance

The Take Classic 5.1-channel system ($800) from the Canadian firm Energy has the distinction of being the lowest priced surround system in our survey, but don't let that fact dissuade you from giving it serious consideration. Energy, you see, has a...
But let me be clear; given its compact size and modest prize, the Take Classic system is a mighty impressive performer. In terms of tonal balance it is one of the most honest and uncolored systems in our survey and its imaging and soundstaging...

Headbangers and those who like to hear their music and movies in the next area code would likely be better served by beefier and more expensive home theater speakers. For everyone else, experts say the Energy Take Classic 5.1 delivers incredible sound...
Great sound quality, great value, uncolored sound reproduction, excellent performance with music

Nice, inexpensive system,if you prefer cheap, inexpensive sound. I took the bait and bought these to replace My Bose AM10's. The reviews led me to believe this would be an upgrade, they are not. The sound is "boxy"..and the bass is almost non...
They are inexpensive
Break in period? A speaker either works or it doesn't...no break in period should be needed.
