The Whoop 4.0 isn't a smartwatch or a Fitbit; it's something quite different, right down to the way you pay to own it. Is it a better device for it?
Comfortable to wear 24/7 Informative health data Motivational Strain metric No notifications
Awkward, slow charging system Monthly charge makes it expensive Automatic workout tracking isn't customizable
“Comfortable, competent, and motivational, the Whoop 4.0 is a great distraction-free fitness tracker, but it doesn't standout against the competition, so fails to justify its high price.”

New sensors make the Whoop better than ever – but only fitness enthusiasts should buy one
Lots of health data ; Big focus on recovery ; Very comfortable ; Useful ‘always-on’ charging
No screen ; No smartwatch features ; Very basic design ; Only for those serious about fitness

The Whoop 4.0 is better, bolder and more capable than its predecessor but only people who work out often will benefit from using it
Comfortable enough to wear 24/7 ; Tracks heart rate and strain accurately ; Sleep tracking is excellent ; Health Monitor overview is useful and easy to understand
Doesn’t track basic stats (e.g. steps) ; Membership costs can stack up ; Still not the most precise when worn on the wrist
The Whoop 4.0 is the perfect fitness tracker in the sense that it actually tracks your fitness level instead of monitoring arbitrary health stats such as steps and water consumption. However, especially because of its hardcore nature, it might only be...

Just don't call it a fitness tracker.
Easy to sleep with ; Lots of data in the app ; Compact design
Battery life isn't great ; Subscription expensive compared to rival systems ; Not really a fitness tracker
Whoop blends into the background, a lifestyle coach designed to feedback on your rest and recovery, guide you to better sleep habits and to make better choices. It's not a replacement for a smartwatch or a fitness tracker, but for those wanting...

This fitness strap is good at what it does but requires a subscription meaning more casual users may well be put off
Lightweight ; Multi-day battery ; Deep data insights
Requires expensive subscription ; Only measures strain and recovery ; Not much guidance
The Whoop 4.0 is unobtrusive and provides interesting fitness data after about a month of use, but it doesn’t give enough guidance to justify the expensive subscription plan.

The Whoop 4.0 is much more than a detailed sleep tracker, and people who work out regularly will see more benefits than those who lead a sedentary life. It's a great way to understand your body and optimize your workout regimen.
Very comfortable for 24/7 wear ; Detailed sleep tracking ; Informative coaching ; Unique battery pack system ; Affordable ; Useful clothing options
Battery life could be longer ; No support for importing GPS data

The Whoop 4.0 fitness tracker does a lot of things differently - from the cost model to the operation. We tested the tracker for you.
It can be worn in various ways ; Comprehensive analysis functions ; ChatGPT's integration is more than just a toy ; Accurate stress analysis ; No display
Does not support chest straps ; Long-term expensive subscription model ; No display
In 2023, Whoop has impressively revitalized its two-year-old fitness tracker, the Whoop 4.0. This device continues to provide a wealth of data on your workouts, sleep patterns, and various habits. However, it now goes beyond merely compiling results...

If you're looking for a typical fitness tracker that only focuses on the basics, you might be confused by the Whoop 4.0. However, if you keep an open mind, this innovative device will ... Keeping track without another screen.

In this review I turn my focus to Whoop 4.0. The wearable helps you better understand your body and how to properly recover.
Teaches you about proper recovery ; Sensors collect five health metrics 100 times per second ; Low-profile design, comfortable to wear ; Predictive analysis ; Re-charge without taking off
Requires monthly subscription ; Doesn't support 3rd party HR chest straps ; Charging needs to be done every 4-5 days
Recensione esperto da : Brent Rose (gizmodo.com)
The upgraded wearable subtly tracks a whole bunch of metrics, but it leaves a lot to be desired.
Low-profile, waterproof, does a good job of monitoring your heart rate, and has the best charging solution of any wearable I’ve tested.
