Polar isn't short of know-how when it comes to sports watches; its M400 GPS Running Watch was one of our all-time favourites. The M600 is altogether a different wrist-based wearable.
The Polar M600 is a very capable sports watch, with Android Wear the added bonus.

A smartwatch with comprehensive fitness tracking chops
Built-in GPS ; Robust fitness tracking ; Waterproof
Screen shows scan lines ; Not the best-looking smartwatch ; Poor battery life on iOS
If you're someone looking for a competent blend of fitness tracker and smartwatch, the Android Wear-powered Polar M600 is the ticket. Although, there are some hardcore fitness trackers that can last longer and provide more accurate GPS results.

Polar's latest and most impressive device to date is a three-in-one runner's watch, fitness tracker, and smartwatch. It has an optical heart rate monitor and is fully waterproof, but cramming in all that functionality means big hits on battery life and...

The Polar M600 has GPS, interval training, a built-in heart-rate sensor and phone notifications.

The explosion of smartwatches and fitness trackers has thrown up some real gems and thrown down some real turds, leaving us all to step carefully when choosing a new device. Polar is an established name in fitness devices, one of the oldest, perhaps,...
Solid design, sports takes priority over smartwatch, all of Android Wear's functions, Polar Flow does so much, respectable battery performance for a smartwatch, IPX8 waterproofing
Design could be more exciting, swimming could be better served, heart rate can be a little erratic, price
The Polar M600 is a fusion of smartwatch and sports device. It takes Android's platform and laces in sports and fitness tracking functions, but maintains a balance that some devices don't manage. It succeeds in being both where others have failed. It...

As comprehensive as Android Wear fitness watches get, but with looks only a mother could love
GPS and heart rate tracking ; Respectable battery life ; Built to take a dunking
Really not very good looking ; Limited software smarts out of the box
Android Wear finally gets a real fitness focus, even if it comes at the expense of style. The M600 is great for keeping an eye on exercise, but it just doesn’t have the looks to wear 24/7.

Last fall it was clear that the Polar M600 was the best smartwatch and GPS sports watch combination. Even with the Apple Watch Series 2 and Samsung Gear S3 releases, there are reasons the M600 remains the best for athletes looking for one watch that...

The M600 is the first Android Wear device from Polar, so it's optimised for use with Android smartphones. It promises to help you use your data to track your training and create achievable fitness goals. In terms of fitness watches it looks pretty...

With the Polar M600, you'll get an accurate heart rate monitor, GPS capabilities, and plenty of notification options and third-party app support thanks to Android Wear. It certainly brings a lot to the table. It is about $100 too expensive, though,...
Accurate activity and GPS tracking ; IPX8 water resistance ; Two-day battery life ; Plenty of third-party fitness apps (thanks to Android Wear)
Large, bulky design ; Display is a tad small compared to the overall footprint ; Software can be buggy at times ; Should be ~$100 cheaper

Polar is a brand well known for their fitness products. Their typical product delivers you stats about your fitness and health, with a dash of GPS and heart rate monitoring.[...]
All in all this is rather lovely and useful watch for anybody who likes to stay fit and isn’t too lazy to get off their bum once in a while. Chunky it may be, but the software on the watch ensures that you get the full fitness experience you expect...
