Hot on the heels of the Pebble Time and flashier Pebble Time Steel comes the Pebble Time Round, a different take on a smartwatch from the once tiny, Kickstarted-funded start-up.
For a woman, you have very hairy hands.

The Pebble Time Round is without doubt the most elegant smartwatch Pebble has ever made. It's slim, lightweight and fits smaller wrists well. Unfortunately, that fashionable design comes at a cost: It has far shorter battery life than previous Pebbles...
Thin, lightweight design ; Color e-paper is easy to read under bright light ; Potential for third-party "smart straps"
Reduced battery life ; Less water-resistant than previous models ; Expensive for what it is
The Pebble Time Round is the most elegant smartwatch Pebble has ever made. It's thin, light and comes in widths that would fit even the most slender of wrists. Its circular, all-metal chassis and options for both leather and metal straps make this a...

The Pebble Time Round is the company's most attractive smartwatch yet, but the loss of app compatibility, battery life, and watch faces means it's hip to stay square.
Attractive, classic design. Always-on screen. Comfortable leather wristband. User-friendly interface.
Expensive. Lackluster battery life. Thick bezel. Compatibility issues with apps and watch faces from previous Pebbles.
Conclusions The Pebble Time Round has the potential to be the best smartwatch yet. As far as look and feel, no other smartwatch comes close by my estimation. And if you're set on a round smartwatch, it's better than the Android Wear-based Huawei Watch...

The best-looking Pebble yet, but at a cost in terms of functionality
Very comfy ; Simple to use ; Ultra-slim and light
Disappointing stamina ; App support issues ; Expensive
It's lighter and better-looking than any Pebble before, but the battery life and app compatibility mean those in the market for the brand may prefer a Pebble Time Steel.

The Pebble Time Round might actually appeal to smartwatch haters.
Slim design is uniquely appealing compared to other smartwatches ; Battery easily lasts two days, and charges quickly ; Maintains the Pebble character with always-on, customizable watch faces
Round display lacks app support, even from existing partners ; Printed minute markers on some models clash with non-analog watch faces ; iPhone support still far behind Android
Pebble's new look does a fine job of papering over the platform's biggest flaws.

Pebble's newest watch trades battery life for a super-small design. But would you do the same?
Sharp construction and a thin, comfortable design; always-on screen; voice-dictation support in apps; works with iPhone and Android; clever at-a-glance timeline feature.
Shorter battery life than previous Pebble watches; not water resistant for swimming; expensive for what it offers; doesn't run all Pebble apps and watch faces.
Pebble's newest round, thin watch takes the Pebble formula and shrinks it to a stylish design, but gives up battery life and some app support in the process.

So it's funny that Pebble's newest watch, Pebble Time Round, gives up the things that made it so unique. It's like an O. Henry story of smartwatches: The Round finally has a sharp design and a super-slim build, but now it can't be worn swimming. Its...

A few days after I started wearing the Time Round, Pebble's ultra-thin new smartwatch, I shut off notifications. This was partly practical—I get too many notifications, and the iPhone offers no filtering control over them—but also a thought experiment....
You guys, it looks like a watch! Thin and light and small enough to work for almost anyone. Battery lasts days, plural. It doesn't try to do too much
The price still feels like more than the sum of its parts. The screen's dim and soft. This is basically still an Android-only device
1 UPDATE: An earlier version of this piece said the Time Round was made of plastic. It’s actually made of stainless steel. It just feels like plastic.

Pebble, the company that had everyone thinking about smartwatches again, has had a busy year. It launched a brand new watch, the Pebble Time, this spring, complete with an entirely revamped...
Compact size ; Attractive design ; Good build quality
Limited app options ; Shorter battery life than other Pebble watches ; Display isn't vibrant

It didn't seem long after the launch of the Pebble Time and Pebble Time Steel smartwatches that the company unveiled another model in the line-up. However, while it is in the same family, and with the same colour Pebble OS and Timeline software, the...
