Missing USB

 

Have had several symbol's over the years and they made good products. They were bought out and do not know if that impacted the shipping of scanners without the minimum cables needed to work and listed on the setup document.

No pro's as could not get it to work

The comment about the usb cord missing is correct. The documentation it comes with indicates it should have a standard usb cord. This is missing. Since it is a non-standard connector, you have to order this from the vendor for an additoinal $25 and 10...

Works pretty well, but watch out for the USB cable

 

You might need to order a separate USB cable; the one that comes with it uses a double-height USB connector which is a very rare animal.

Because the scanner is laser-based it is super fast and accurate. It handles all of the modern 1-dimensional codes out there

Be careful buying this, though. The USB cable is does NOT have a standard plug. It is a USB+power plug that is twice as tall as a normal USB connection, and it wouldn't fit in any of the computers I have at my disposal. I happened to have another...
