After extensive research got this and companion model FI-5220C (with flatbed) for law firm client that does bankruptcy work, trying to move to a more paperless office. They now scan in clients'' docs (bank statements, mortgages, car titles, etc.)...

I originally purchased this scanner for our business and was so pleased with it that I purchased a second one for the home office to scan all insurance policies, utility bills etc. to eliminate having to keep so many papers on file.

We use it exclusively as a doent scanner to send patient information back to our billing company.

If you want the best, fastest scanner that will fit on your desk, this is it. It is excellent for EMR software used in medical offices. Choose the 5220-c if you need the flatbed version of this unit.

This is a CPA firm just making the transition to a paperless office. The Fujitsu fi-5120C scanners will be critical to our success.

Early in our usage at this point so I don''t know how durable it will be but as of now I am pleased with its performance.

The scanner is fabulous and much better than large Canon and HP units at work. You need to plan on investing in additional sotware to really go into production however. I''m rating high because I bought a scanner, not sotware and it''s great!
