Don't bother

 

There are much better options. I regret spending $80 on this thing.

Looks cool on the sideboard.

PITA to clean. Doesn't get oil hot enough or recover fast enough when you add food.

The "magnetic" cord attachment might seem like a good "safety" feature but it doesnt attach well; it detaches too easily. The slightest bump will cause the cord to fall off leaving the "hot" cord contacts exposed. I wouldnt even donate this to Goodwill.

Good for oil storage if you put plastic wrap over the top.

Mine will not even make the oil smoke! I have had it for 4 months and it has not worked except the one time I turned it on to heat up the oil. After that, it never worked again. DeLonghi service seems unable to obtain the replacement part--control...

One more piece of junk

 

another 2nd class foreign product with no quality built in. The manuel is not user friendly. I relied on the name DeLonghi but could not find quality in this product

Is this a throw away item? use it till it is dirty than save 5 hours of cleaning." buying special cleaners" finding new filter (this filter will fall apart in the cleaning process). Add all this saving and know that I am telling you throwing it away...
