The 19-inch Samsung SyncMaster 953BW performs well and has a low price; however, its competitors one-up it on both counts.

Amazing monitor, super clear, bright and crisp. Games look great (with a decent vid card) and movies are as good as they can be on a screen smaller than 52 inches! No dead pixels. What else can you ask for in a monitor

If there are any, it's the lack of USB ports

I have tow of these that I am extremely happy with. I'm ready to buy my third. Just a godd, well-performing monitor for a fair price

Height and swivel adjustment, but I knew that going in. If I really need these, I can buy an aftermarket stand

Very bright and vibrant picture (slight adjustment is almost necessary to tone it down) ; Color reproduction is very good but this brings up a Con as well ; Very classy design (probably the biggest PRO about this!) / shiny piano-black finish...

1 CON relates to one of its PROs: color reproduction is good but it changes drastically througout the screen! Images viewed at the top 1/4 of the screen have 50% more color depth than at the bottom 1/4. A solid colored screen can change from that color...

still using it and going strong. looks great. i have it in the kitchen and we use it to watch tv, look up recipes, play games, write letters, check emails. 2ms my rear end. it's more like 5ms but hey so what? it still looks better than all the others....

The panel has surprisingly even backlight distribution, however, a very picky person may notice a slight reduction in backlight visible at each corner, when viewing a white screen (such as a blank document) from straight on. The area I am talking about...
