A Different Kind of Machine

I was a little leery of purchasing this machine as I didn't like the idea that I would be bound to only one source of coffee (Nespresso which is a division of Nestle). I did my homework however, and found only positive reviews of the Nespresso system...

Can produce multiple espresso's very quickly.

The capsules do not contain enough coffee to make a proper "double"

Don't throw away your grinder.

My old Briel recently bit the dust and as a confirmed espresso addict I immediately started shopping around for a new machine. The Krups 554 is currently being blown out all over the place and has been fetching between $115-$150 on ebay for brand new...

Looks nice. Currently inexpensive.

Absurdly expensive coffee.

Good, Hassle-free Espresso

For many months, I had been in the market for an espresso machine in which the smallest amount of work was necessary. In the end, it was between the Saeco Vienna and the Krups 554 Nespresso system.
