Broke within 2 monthes ............DON'T BUY ONE.

There is definitely a design flaw with the lid of the stainless steel carafe.  The first one broke within a week of purchase (Which cost me about $100 by the way). Sears replaced the whole unit no questions asked. The second lid broke about 3 months...

it wasn't 6 months old and the lid broke, returned it, the new one broke in two days.  Not to metion that there is a beep that goes off every 15 minutes that is not tolerable.

Don't listen to the person who gave this appliance 1 star.  They bought a display unit, so of course it's going to be flawed.  This is actually a great coffee maker.  I got it on sale for about $61, and it is DEFINITELY worth it.  It is fairly well...
