Almost solid plastic so it's a little flimsy. I'll be surprised if it lasts more than three years. It does not look as nice as those stainless steel coffee makers from Krup, but then again the price is much lower

This coffee maker works fine, either use the provided filter basket or just stuff any other filter in there, its no big deal....absolutely no origami skills needed lol
