I needed this to extend the cord length of my keyboard and it is compatible to the apple product.

This product when used as an extension will charge an ipad 3. Sometimes goes in and out when charging while using, but charges when shut down.

So glad I found it! I can comfortably use my device while charging!! No longer on a short tether. A must have; now I need a second one---one for home, and one that I keep with me for charging on the go. Get it, you will be glad you did!
