This animated tale of a lizard sheriff is the stuff of home theater legend. But is the script firing blanks?

Paramount has hereby tendered another reference-quality high-def disc of a so-so animated movie. If you or your kids like lizards and westerns, then the mildly amusing Rango might be for you, otherwise consider a rental before committing.

excellent

 

Hilarious and brilliantly animated,the picture is stunning and if you press the 3d button(if you have a 3d tv) it actually looks more 3d than any other film ive tried this with.

Not for the kids

 

Anyone expecting Toy Story or Up will be disappointed, so dont waste your money. I enjoyed it personally, but really not one for the kids... actually quite dark in places. Picture on the Blu Ray is very good. Worth a watch atleast..
