The ease of making this region-free makes this a winner!

 

At first, the Coby DVD-507 looks like a no-frills DVD player, but looks can be deceiving. This player can play LOTS of stuff! It can play DVDs, VCDs, SVCDs, MP3 CDs (including CD-Rs with your own MP3s), Kodak Picture CDs (including CD-R discs with .jpg...

Region-free, and plays TONS of stuff

Does not remember last location on disc when turned off

Great no frills, cheap, dvd player....But don't expect too much.

 

It does the job, plays vast majority of region 1 dvds, kinda cheap, digital/coax out

Freezes during extended pausing, fast forward is flaky, slow remote response time, no progressive scan

There's really not a whole lot you can say about this DVD player. It's pretty much a standard no fri ...

Great Value!

 

My friends and I enjoy watching foreign films, so most of our discs are imports. I have yet to find a video disc that this thing can't play. It honestly is quite an amazing product for the price. I was lucky enough to get one at the local Cocconuts...

Region Free. Plays DVD-R and PAL discs.

No Progressive Scan. Bad remote control layout.
