I would recomend this lens to anyone wanting perfecton in a long macro lens.

It is by far the sharpest lens I have ever used. It is great for insect and flowers because it is long enough you don't have to get to close to your sbject

It is real heavy. I don't think it is mechanicaly as good as a canon L but canon did not have a macro this long with an imag stabilizer when I purchased it
