I use this lens for astro-photography. Stars are sharp across the entire image. This is a critical test of lens quality.

Very good image quality and fast focus. My earlier objective was Sigma 150-500 and I have to say Canon EF 200 f/2.8 II USM makes images much more sharper. Excellent choise!
