Good for 3 years and 2 weeks.

 

Fast

It lasted 2 whole weeks past the 3 year warranty. For an 1100.00 hard Drive, I was hoping for something longer then that.

reviews don't lie

 

I guess it's early enough I can RMA through newegg, kind of a shame it died so quickly. I really do like this setup.

wicked fast while it works

died after two weeks of mild use, one of the 4 internal drives has failed

Would not purchase again

 

Only getting 110MB/s read. OCZ is not helpful. This is a thousand dollar mistake.

All-in-one

Using S5520SC motherboard. OCZ pre-sales said it was compatible in either the bottom 8x slot or the either 16x slot. Well... that was a lie. It won't fit in the top because of a heatsink above it. It won't fit in the bottom because of a capacitor. And...

Almost there

 

It is quiet, the computer it is in seems to be operating cooler with this drive rather than the old 7200 3.5" drive it replaced. Not sure whether it was the drive partition copying process or what exactly, but I had to repeat the drive prep twice...

It doesn't take up a drive slot. It has one of the fastest read/write ratings of all the drives I have studied. Physically an easy install.

You have to have a PCi-e slot. Some things its super fast. Windows icons and moving between programs- Wow! Database searches are about the same as my 7200rpm drive.

Warranty Replacement works!!

 

We keep the indexes to one of our DBSs on it, and it is just plain FAST. A complex search on our DBS with 4 7200 RPM disk in striped raid was 60 seconds - the same search is now 5 seconds. I kid you not.

When it works it FLIES! I am now getting 620 MB/sec out of it. Once IO got an RMA they had the repaired unit back to me in less then 10 days. Not too shabby. Looks like they are finally listening. It just pain SCREAM! (it is also 100 bucks off right...

Kind of large.... wrong drivers still on Web site, but I imagine they may fix that some day. It has a newer controller in it than the first versions had which is why they have the wrong driver. It did take them 3 days to initially respond to complaints.
