A Good SSD

 

Mushkin's forums have some usual information- everyone who have bought this drive definitely should head over there and read up.

1) It's Mushkin, even if there is a problem- I don't have to find Jimmy Hoffa and do brain surgery to get RMA/support/whatever ; 2) SSD make a huge difference in speed, this one is no exception and no problems with it. On the windows benchmark- my i7...

Nice drive

 

Adobe apps did not see as big a speed increase as I'd like. Not really a con, probably just Adobe.

Fast, windows experience index went from 5.9 to 7.5. Browser launch is almost instant. Easy to install. Bracket included

Only 111 GB formatted. Seems to run a bit hot. Still pricey compared to the Seagate 7200 it replaced

Buy It

 

While not cheap I have no regrets at all. I don't think I have ever had a upgrade that made this much difference in my machine.

I don't think that their is anything else you can buy that will make the speed difference that this drive makes. Mushkin has always had top notch service from right here in the old USA. My Windows hard drive score went from 5.9 to 7.8 so I went from...

Buy from Newegg

 

Buy this from Newegg. I ordered direct from Mushkin this one time and it hung for days without shipping. I notified them and they said it would be shipped next day FedEx. No drive even then. Another apology and finally it shipped being told they would...

Seems as good as my Vertex 2 and fast with their vender provided firmware for the controller. SSD is the way to go

Simply incredible

 

Expensive, but not that much when you consider the performance you're getting out of it.

The title says it all. Installed on my mother's laptop computer, which was s-l-o-w with Vista. Fresh install of Win7 64-bit launched the 'puter into write/read warp territory. Windows now closes in 8 seconds flat (used to take 30+ with Vista) and opens...
