I have not had the experience of the other poster. I admit the hose is not great, but if you follow the directions, it should last several years. The two hoses don't have to be used. The second hose takes outside air which supposedly makes the unit...

Okay, so you see the name, you think its quality...guesses again!! The unit itself is amazing but the attachments that come with it are cheap! We purchased this model because of its name, DeLonghi. We have several other products by the same company ...

The unit cooled our living room by 10 degrees within 15 minutes.

The hose attachments, they need to be of higher quality.
