Fans are loud. PCIe slot flaky with some raid cards. The 3 year warranty is only one year parts - after that just labor. Finding the correct drivers for x64 is tricky. The super and nvidia sites have them mislabeled.

Customer Service? Nyet

 

I didn't buy the server from Newegg. Oh yeah, I forgot...Supermicro charged me $26.00 for a two ounce plastic insert for the RAID array.

Server worked for 16 months. Duel Opteron CPUs were strong performers.

I have been building desktops and servers for more than a decade. Supermicro provided me with a customer service experience that I will not forget. It was easily THE WORST EVER. Motherboard died after 16 months with three year warrantee. Tech support...
