The Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold has won my heart after just a few short weeks with it, and in my in-depth review, I'm going to explain why you'll love it too.
Brilliant screen for games and video ; Versatile and fun camera ; Long software update commitment ; Superb build and design ; Thin and well-balanced ; Free year of Gemini Advanced
Slow charging ; Heavy ; Expensive
“The Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold is an entertainment powerhouse. It's a truly excellent foldable and one I think you'll love.”

The original Pixel Fold wasn't exactly the success Google was hoping for. It had its upsides, but the device wasn't well-received by the consumers....
One of the brightest displays on a foldable.
Thick bezels, polarizing back design.
In conclusion, while the Pixel 9 Pro Fold faces stiff competition at its premium price point, it offers a strong overall package. It may not introduce groundbreaking innovations, but for those looking for a reliable foldable with long-term software...

As unique as its predecessor was, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold is a welcome reboot that is so much nicer to use for extended periods.
The updated design really works ; Great software ; Strong main camera ; Very bright screens
Camera system inferior to Pixel 9 Pro ; Display crease is very visible ; Slow charging
As unique as its predecessor was, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold is a welcome reboot that is so much nicer to use for extended periods. Both screens are (mostly) great, the build is thinner and lighter and everything just feels more high-end.

The second-gen foldable Google Pixel is a giant leap forwards
Largest and brightest internal display betters its competition ; Decent levels of power without overheating, strong battery life ; Design akin to a normal flagship when folded makes for easy use
Doesn't get the Pixel 9 Pro XL's improved cameras ; Software doesn't leverage multi-tasking, AI has a way to go ; Rounded screen corners and camera island may split opinion
Don't think of the Pixel 9 Pro Fold as simply an upgrade over the original Google foldable – this is a completely rethought and redesigned phone that's a giant leap forward, making it the best foldable that (lots of) money can buy. Sure, a foldable...

The 9 Pro Fold features a new design that makes this foldable much more appealing than Google's original Pixel Fold.
This foldable comes with its tradeoffs: the downgraded camera hardware; durability concerns; and oh yeah, the eighteen hundred US dollars it costs. But I think Google made the right tradeoffs here to optimize the inner screen experience. It’s an...

High-quality hardware ; Excellent displays ; Solid wireless performance ; Good cameras ; Lots of AI
Lacks advanced productivity features ; Battery life is only average ; Expensive
Google's heavily revised Pixel 9 Pro Fold is an attractive, book-style folding phone that banks on the power of Gemini AI to appeal to early adopters, but it falls just short of Samsung when it comes to productivity perks.

The Pixel 9 Pro Fold is a nice mini tablet that doubles as a ‘normal' phone, but it sometimes feels like you're not getting the best Pixel experience despite the $1,800 price.
Front screen feels like a normal phone. 8-inch inner screen looks spectacular and is great for split-screen apps. Thinner and lighter (but still a bit heavy). Good performance, smart software, and reliable battery life.
Missing features from the Pixel 9 Pro. Might not work on your wireless charger. Annoying sounds. Stupid expensive.

Bigger and better, but is it worth buying?
Thinnest foldable you can buy (depending on where you live) ; Biggest screen ever crammed into a phone ; Amazing design fulfills the foldable promise
AI features make horrible images with no indication it’s AI ; Seriously, I made a Pooh bear doing drugs off of Eeyore ; Has nobody considered that this AI stuff is really bad?!
The Pixel 9 Pro Fold is my favorite new foldable phone, and it’s all about the way it looks and feels. It looks like a normal phone, it feels thin and not bulky, and it’s incredibly fun, whether I keep it open or closed. The AI features are powerful –...

Google's 2nd gen Fold is the first book-style foldable that actually fits into my life.
Wider cover display ; Refined, durable build ; Interior screen looks great
Heavy, bulky design ; Camera lags behind Pixel 9 Pro ; Occasional software performance issues
Google's Pixel 9 Pro Fold aims to solve the original Pixel Fold's key issues thanks to its thinner and lighter design, Tensor G4 chip and more fluid hinge.

The Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold is the biggest Android smartphone yet produced by Google -- as soon as you unfold it. Until then, it's effectively a Pixel 9!
Full Pixel 9 experience on the outside ; Expanded Pixel 9 experience inside ; Cameras aren't exactly like other 9 Pros, but they're still great ; Industrial Design is on-point ; Feels robust enough to use without fear of accidental damage ; 120Hz...
Considerable cost ; Some features lesser than those of other Pixel 9 Pro devices ; Gets a little warm when playing games in unfolded mode ; 120Hz refresh, bright screen drain battery quick
