Ricoh Theta

The Ricoh Theta is compact camera that captures unique 360° spherical images, but it's on the pricey side and battery life is disappointing.

Captures unique 360-degree images. Wi-Fi is supported. Android and iOS compatibility. Very compact.

Pricey. Very limited battery life. Image quality isn't the greatest.

I struggled a bit in an attempt to find the right situation to put the Theta through its paces. My eye is more keen on isolating a single subject, but by its design the Theta isolates nothing. I ended up taking the camera with me to CES; it did a great...

Ricoh Theta review

The Ricoh Theta camera is the first mass produced snapper that takes spherical pics

Build quality and design ; Interactive 360 pictures ; Very easy to setup and use

Not great in low light ; Quality degrades on sharing ; Less interaction when shared

Ricoh Theta S review: Creating spherical images doesn't get easier than this

It might not be the absolute future of photography, but this point-and-shoot 360 camera is damn cool.

The Ricoh Theta S takes the complex process of capturing and creating spherical photos and videos down to a single button press. Using its Wi-Fi and mobile apps, you can control the camera, and edit and share photos and video. Addition of self-timer...

Processing takes its toll on photo and video quality, so just don't look too closely. Having separate apps for capture and editing hurts the user experience. You need to upload to Ricoh's site before sharing to other sites. Because of the twin-lens...

Whether you're looking to create content for your VR headset or just love cool camera gadgetry, the Ricoh Theta S is an excellent way to start creating spherical images.

Ricoh Theta SC is a 360-degree camera aimed at everyone

By slashing two features off its top-of-the-line Theta S spherical camera, the imaging company is hoping to capture some less tech-savvy buyers.

Ricoh Theta S

The slim and wearable design of the RICOH THETA S matches its unique image capture system. The THETA S has a 14MP 1:2.3-inch sensor/processor that delivers stills or videos with a 360-degree spherical look. It can record Full HD videos for up to 25...

New Ricoh Theta!

This incredible device allows users to capture the area all around them - not forgetting above and below - all in a single spherical image. But that's not all; this new spherical camera can also capture spherical videos!

From the 14 November 2014, an API and SDK (beta version) will be released on theta360.com site to allow users to develop their own apps and add new exciting capabilities to their Ricoh Theta.

Review: The Ricoh Theta

Starting out as a rather chunky hammerhead concept shown at CES 2013, the Theta panoramic camera has since been slimmed down, streamlined and released. Stunning 360 degree views can be instantly captured at the push of a button, the device can be...

are any indication, we're all looking for ways to make panoramic photography a little easier and a whole lot better. Creating a quality 360 degree panorama with the Theta from Ricoh is claimed as easy as holding out the camera and pressing a button.

Ricoh Theta review

Ricoh's Theta is a new type of camera, one that takes sphericalphotographs. That's 360 degrees of imaging all around you -- floorto ceiling, wall-to-wall, front to back.

Simple to use, great design, spherical photo effect works well, decent mobile apps, good image quality

Expensive, image quality could be improved, no Bluetoothsupport

We had a lot of fun with the Theta. It's easy to use, produces aunique type of image and is quick to operate. It's expensivethough, but for frequent travellers to destinations far and wideit's almost certainly going to allow you to capture your travels...
