At a discount for last years made, this is a great deal. It has good video quality, is simple to operate, small and compact. I like the built in hard drive and the SD card slot with the capability to record in 2 formats. Battery life is good.

My 1st year Broadcasting students sometimes use these cameras and really like them. They make good HD pictures, offer the convenience of SD memory cards, and accept external microphones... all at an excellent price. I will be buying more of them.

I've used my camcorder on vacation and at home and only charged the camcorder after about 4 hours.

This camera was very easy to set up and use once the battery was charged.

I bought this to give away as a gift to a mother expecting her first child. She's not very tech savvy, although she can use her Apple stuff pretty easily....as long as someone sets it up for her.
