I was just coming to the end of my review when Windows did yet more updates and these included Internet Explorer 8. All seemed to go well and after the reboot no error messages but IE 8 refuses to load.

A fast powerful and beautifully designed machine. I removed all traces of Microsoft and am running OpneSuse 11.2 Linux without any problems.

For the price point.....a very good buy. The graphics chip compensates for the core2 duo performance.

Hard disk capacity good but performance let down by spin speed. Screen large and bright but limited viewing angle. Battery performance as expected for 18.4" screen.

Like the styling and the actual operation of the machine - keyboard, etc. The performance isgood andoverall 'it does what it says on the can!'
