Fire Emblem: Awakening (Nintendo 3DS)

Emblem: Awakening might be the first truly great strategy game for the Nintendo 3DS.

Classic, complex Fire Emblem gameplay. Lots of online and DLC features

Use of the "Casual" mode will bring shame to your family. Additional maps are paid DLC

If you've played a Fire Emblem game, you know exactly what to expect from Fire Emblem: Awakening, on the the Nintendo 3DS. If you've played an Advance Wars game or a strategy RPG other than Fire Emblem, you have a partial idea of what to expect from...

Fire Emblem Awakening

The Fire Emblem series of games is another one which was an established success in Japan from the NES era, but only hit our shores a handful of times, and the West has been poorer without them. The DS heralded one Fire Emblem game, Shadow Dragon, and...

If you have a 3DS, enjoy SRPGs (including XCOM you judgemental ‘big console’ owners), interesting character experiences, and weeping when little computer men and women die, then this is a must buy. My flatmate saw the last half of a mission where I was...

Fire Emblem - Awakening

When Marth and Roy first appeared in Super Smash Bros. Melee for the Nintendo Gamecube, it was for advertising purposes as Fire Emblem - Fuuin no Tsurugi was about to be released in Japan for the Gameboy Advance. However, their appearance also meant...

Fire Emblem: Awakening- N3DS

New mechanics and charming characters make Fire Emblem: Awakening a joy to play.

Challenging, finely tuned turn-based strategy gameplay ; Adds new gameplay elements that emphasize positioning ; Offers a great deal of content outside the main story ; Auxiliary character dialogue adds personality to the team members ; Excellent use...

Some elements of the interface aren't intuitive ; The local multiplayer falls short

The class system has also received some welcome changes. In most Fire Emblem games, class progression is fairly linear, requiring specific items to level up to particular classes once a unit reaches a certain rank. These items are more available in...
