Mario & Sonic At The 2012 London Olympic Games

Mario & Sonic At The London 2012 Olympic Games for the Nintendo 3DS comes a few months later than the Wii offering, yet still months ahead of the actual event the mascots and other characters are meant to be participating in. Much like the Wii version,...

Plenty of stuff to play

Dumbed down gameplay ; Not enough actual Olympic content ; Would have been a good party game

This is the sort of game you get for a child who has a 3DS. Maybe they have a birthday coming up. Maybe they like the characters. Whatever the reason, they will enjoy playing the game. There is a lack of depth that more grown up gamers will miss and...

Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games - 3DS on Nintendo DS

Qualifying But Not Record Setting

Mario & Sonic at the 2012 London Olympic Games is a standard mini game compilation that is not necessarily better or worse than its forbearers. At the core, it is a decent time waster that is designed to be played in shorter bursts. However, it is not...

Mario & Sonic At The London 2012 Olympics (3DS)

Win gold medals for over 50 events by swiping, tapping, shouting and blowing your way through Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympics!

In conclusion, Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympics is a game that carries a lot of positive aspects, but the negatives tarnish what it could have been. With over 50 events to play through, if you're the type who wants to complete a game fully, it...

Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games Review

Have you ever noticed how sometimes developers with large franchises don't really have to try anymore? They're built on the brilliance of their early efforts that earned all our trust, but are now happy to push out subpar products in the knowledge...

Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games Nintendo 3DS Review

At the same time, we don't hate Sega's creation. On the contrary, we feel it provides just enough charm and addictiveness to warrant a purchase, or at the very least, a rental.

Over 50 events, entertaining story mode, single card multiplayer, dramatic music, looks cool in 3D, online leaderboards

No online play, some events get old fast

The 3DS version of Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games had a strike against it from the beginning, simply because it comes with 50 plus activities better suited to a motion controller like the Wii remote. People want to get off their butts...

Mario & Sonic at the London 2012…

It still doesn't feel right, you know. I was there, two decades ago, down in the frontlines. I chose my side in the war, man, and I stuck it out through thick and thin. No pointy-haired blue bastard was fast enough to beat Miyamoto's magnificent,...

Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games

The Plumber and the Hedgehog are back, once again, on the International Stage that is the Olympic Games.... but this time it's in 3D.

Lengthy (and sometimes dragging) story mode ; Actual story mode, not just events ; Great sound and music ; Lots of events

Lengthy (and sometimes dragging) story mode ; Some events are lightning quick - blink and you'll miss it ; Update online records for each even individually ; Some control schemes conflict with 3D visuals

I honestly believe if there was no Storyline mode to this game, I wouldn’t have spent more than an hour playing it. The controls, the variety, the sound all make up for the little imperfections that exist. It certainly won’t be everyone’s cup of tea...

Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games

Although F-Zero GX on the GameCube marked the first official development collaboration between once-mortal-enemies Nintendo and SEGA, it wouldn't be until the Wii's second year on shop shelves that history would truly be made. In March of 2007, both...

Mario & Sonic: London 2012 Olympic Games 3DS

Bowser and Dr. Eggman must be the most incompetent villains ever. After countless attempts at stealing a hero's princess and imprisoning small furry animals in despicable machines, it seems the pair have been reduced to the most ridiculous plot of all...

The odds are you’ll have played a game like this before, especially if you’ve ever owned some of the more casual games on the DS Lite or Wii. The colourful cast will please younger fans and the graphics are nice, but in reality it’s all window-dressing...

Mario and Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games Playtest: Minigames For All!

It makes for friendly rivalry between everyone, protagonist and antagonist alike.

You can see what your ranking between different controls and different genres of games are. I’m apparently best with the circle pad and worst with the tilt controls, and best at rhythm games and worst at do-or-die games.
